holistic services
As a doting mother of three, my journey into birth really began with my first pregnancy. It was through my research, insatiable thirst for knowledge and following my instincts on all things baby, that my passion for childbirth grew. I am committed to supporting families through their pregnancy and birth experiences by providing them with the resources, tools and compassion to achieve their best birth.
Holistic services include prenatal, birth and postpartum support, Craniosacral Fascia Therapy (CFT), Theta Healing + Access Bars Practitioner and dynamic body balancing facilitator, I have been supporting growing families in our community for last eight years. Offering individualized and family-centered support, providing a full range of services from wellness sessions, childbirth education, to fertility, pregnancy, birth support and continuing with postpartum care. Committed to holistic care, services include a mind+ body approach to balancing both structurally and energetically, optimize relaxation, comfort and positioning during pregnancy as well as recovery post-birth.
Companions combines the knowledge and support of physiological birth along with intelligence to connect to our innate birthing power. Either with or without plans to birth within the technocratic model, companionship and holistic services can provide deeply personal support throughout pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
A: Doula (pronounced Doo-lah) is a non-medical care provider that cares for families by providing four pillars of continuous support: information, practical comfort measures, emotional and facilitation throughout pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.
A: Midwives, much like an OBGYN provide primary medical care during your pregnancy and delivery within a technocratic/medicalized model, a TBC or doula is a non-medical care provider that is apart of your birth team. A traditional birth companion helps clients navigate the choices and decisions to be made through the process, they also provide guidance in addressing the physical and emotional realities of childbirth and the postpartum period and about what the broad spectrum of "normal" looks and feels like.
A: Studies show many benefits to continuous support and that women who have doula or companionship support during labour and birth have more satisfying birth experiences. Women and their partners report that having a doula or companion support was a key factor contributing to their empowered, positive and satisfying experience.
A: traditional birth companions are apart of your birth team, they do not replace or interfere with the intimacy of your experience, rather they help ensure both mother and partners needs are met. TBC help to enable each partner to participate at their own comfort level, reducing stress and allowing couples to connect throughout the experience. Every couple has their own dynamic and expectations about how the TBC will best support them, this is an important topic to discuss during the prenatal visits.
A holistic approach is really about treating the mind + body as a whole. All my services combine physical, emotional and spiritual components that are interconnected to balance both structurally and energetically.
"My husband and I truly looked forward to all our prenatal and postpartum visits with you. Your instant ability to connect with your clients made you feel more like a sister than a doula. Your presence during the birth was so calming and reassuring. You knew exactly how to support myself and my husband. You allowed us to connect on a level I never thought possible. We both walked away with the most beautiful memories that we will hold in our hearts forever. " - Brittany
" Falon was a Godsend during my labour! As first time parents, we had no real idea what to expect. I knew I wanted a natural birth and read that using a doula can greatly increase your likelihood. I felt in control the whole time thanks to Falon’s calming voice and knowledge, counterpressure (I don’t know what I would do without counterpressure) and teaching my husband how to help me. Falon was such a huge part of our birth experience that I will be asking her to be with us when we are pregnant again! You will not regret this “purchase” - worth every penny. "

" My partner and I cannot say enough about the education, guidance and calmness Falon brought to us as first time parents. I initially met Falon through the Motherhood and Movement class, it was at that point we considered also having her as our doula. The prenatal sessions done in our home were geared towards us and very informational. During our birth Falon was not only a huge support to me but to my partner. We both agree we would not have wanted to do it without her! " - Katelyn
